Spino's F-15EX Eagle II Is Now in the Fox3 Mod Manager

Big news for anyone running a hosted DCS server on Fox3: Spino's F-15EX Eagle II mod, Version 3.0, is now available in the Fox3 Mod Manager. Your players can be flying it tonight.
What Is the F-15EX Eagle II Mod?
If you have not come across this one yet, Spino's F-15EX Eagle II is one of the most ambitious community mods in DCS right now. Version 3.0 dropped on November 5, 2026, and it is a substantial leap forward. The avionics and enhanced flight model were built by virhed, and the work shows. This thing flies like you would expect a fourth generation plus American fighter to fly.
A huge thank you to Spino and virhed. Projects like this take serious time and skill, and the DCS community is better for it.
Here is what Version 3.0 includes:
- The F-15EX Eagle II (baseline configuration)
- The F-15EX with conformal fuel tanks (CFTs)
- The Israeli F-15IA
One more thing worth calling out: this mod is fully standalone. You do not need the F-15C module or any other paid module to run it. That matters a lot for server owners who want to give their players access to a capable, modern fighter without a module requirement at the door.
How Fox3 Installs It on Your Server
This is where the Fox3 Mod Manager earns its keep.
When you install the F-15EX Eagle II through the Mod Manager, you are not just dropping the aircraft files onto the server. The full mod goes in, including the server side scripts the mod ships with, such as the one that passes mission data to the pilot's helmet display, covering IFF, missiles in flight, and the bullseye. You do not touch a single file. The portal handles everything.
Here is how to get it installed:
- Sign in to the server portal at stats.fox3cloud.com/portal
- Open the Fox3 Mod Manager tab at the top, or find the Mods panel on your server's card.
- Click Install on the F-15EX Eagle II (and any other mods you want), then click Apply.
Applying your selections restarts DCS once so the mods can load. Pick a quiet moment between sessions to do it. The whole process takes a couple of minutes on your end. Removing a mod later is one click, and the portal always shows you exactly how much storage you are using.
The Fox3 Mod Manager is included at no extra cost with the Squadron, Wing, Division, and Air Superiority tiers.
One Thing to Know About Storage
The F-15EX package needs about 5.5 GB of mod storage. Every Fox3 plan that includes the Mod Manager comes with 5 GB of mod storage, so most owners will want to add a small amount of extra storage before installing. You can do that right on the Fox3 website. It is a quick stop before you kick off the install, and then you are good to go.
Your Pilots Still Need to Install It Locally
Every pilot who wants to fly the F-15EX in your server needs to install the mod on their own PC as well. That part has not changed. Send them to Spino's site directly:
https://sites.google.com/view/spinossimulationsite/mods/f-15ex-eagle-ii
The setup steps are there, and Spino keeps that page current. Standard mod install process, nothing unusual.
Like Every Mod in Our Catalog: We Tested It First
Before anything goes into the Fox3 Mod Manager catalog, we install it on our own servers and confirm the server starts cleanly with it loaded. The F-15EX Eagle II is no different. We did not list it until it passed that check. That is the standard we hold for every mod in the catalog, and we are not going to lower it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do my players need to own the F-15C module to fly the F-15EX Eagle II mod?
No. The F-15EX Eagle II Version 3.0 is fully standalone. Players do not need the F-15C or any other paid module. They just need to install the mod on their own PC from Spino's site.
Does Fox3 install all the mod files, or just the aircraft?
Fox3 installs the full mod on your server, including the server side scripts the mod ships with. You do not manage any files manually. The Mod Manager handles all of it through the portal.
My plan only comes with 5 GB of mod storage. What do I do?
The F-15EX package needs about 5.5 GB, so you will want to add a small amount of extra storage through the Fox3 website before installing. It is a simple step, and the portal always shows how much storage you are using.
Will installing the mod restart my DCS server?
Yes, applying any mod selection restarts DCS once so the mods can load. Plan to apply during a break between sessions. Outside of that restart, the process is automatic.
Which Fox3 plans include the Mod Manager?
The Mod Manager is included at no extra cost with the Squadron, Wing, Division, and Air Superiority tiers.
Where do my pilots download the F-15EX Eagle II for their own PC?
Send them to Spino's official page: https://sites.google.com/view/spinossimulationsite/mods/f-15ex-eagle-ii. The setup instructions are there and kept up to date.
The F-15EX Eagle II is live in the catalog right now. Log into your portal, check your storage, and get it installed. And if there is a mod you want to see added to the Fox3 Mod Manager next, open a support ticket and let us know. We are listening, and the catalog keeps growing because of requests just like yours.
