Find Pilots for Your Server, Find a Squadron for Your Weekend
Every squadron knows the feeling. Your server is ready, the mission is loaded, and the slots are empty. Meanwhile, somewhere out there, a pilot is looking for a group to fly with on Saturday night. Squadrons dissolve, schedules change, and good servers go quiet simply because the right pilots never found them.
Today we're fixing that. Fox3 Servers now has two new community features, both under the Groups menu on our website: the Server Directory and Looking for Squadron.
The Server Directory
The Server Directory puts recruiting squadrons in front of pilots looking for a home.
If you run a DCS World or IL-2 server with Fox3, you can list it from My Account, one listing for each active server. Tell pilots who you are with a display name and a short blurb, then add:
your Discord invite link
your time zone
your play styles: PvE, PvP, co-op, training or campaign
the aircraft your group flies
a Recruiting flag when you're looking for new pilots
Every card also shows real activity from the Fox3 Stats portal: pilots online (updated hourly), peak pilots, pilot visits and when the server was last flown. Pilots can tap Stats to see more, or hit the big Join Discord button and say hello.
Pilots can filter the directory to show only recruiting servers, or narrow it by play style, time zone and aircraft. A totals strip at the top shows how many servers are listed, how many are recruiting and how many pilots are online right now.
The directory is free for every Fox3 server customer, and it is completely opt in. Nothing appears unless you list it, and every listing is reviewed by our staff before it goes live.
Looking for Squadron
The other side of the story is the pilot who wants a group. Looking for Squadron is a board where any pilot can post a card, no account needed.
A card shows your callsign, your Discord handle, your time zone, the aircraft you fly, when you're available and a short note about what you're looking for. Cards are reviewed by our staff, they expire after 60 days, and your email address is never shown.
Squadron owners browse the board and reach out to pilots directly on Discord.
One More Reason to Log In
While you're there, take a look at our Mission Library: 100 free missions that have passed our quality checks. If you're on a dedicated server, the Install on my server button puts a mission on your server for you.
