IL-2 Missions Are Coming to Mission Curator and MissionRX

Some of the best nights in flight simulation start with a mission somebody built for the love of it. A person sits down with an editor, an idea, and a map of the Eastern Front, and a few hours later a whole squadron has something new to fly. We think those builders deserve great tools, and today we have some happy news for the IL-2 Sturmovik community.

Two Tools, One Goal

Fox3 Mission Curator is our mission builder. Instead of spending a whole evening placing waypoints and triggers, you describe the mission you want to fly and Mission Curator assembles it for you in seconds. It launched for DCS World earlier this year and creators have been using it to keep their servers stocked with fresh missions ever since. You can see it at fox3servers.com/products/mission-curator.

MissionRX is our mission reliability service at fox3servers.com/mission-reliability. Submit a mission and it comes back with a grade and a readable report on anything that could cause trouble, from scripting slips to performance traps. And if you want more than a report card, the Improve option puts real mission experts to work polishing your creation.

Together they cover the whole life of a mission. You build it, you check it, you improve it, and your players enjoy a smooth night of flying.

Now We Are Bringing This to IL-2

Here is the happy part. We are working on IL-2 missions right now. The goal is the same friendly loop that DCS creators already enjoy: build your IL-2 mission, submit it for a rating, and get it improved until it flies the way you imagined it.

IL-2 mission building has always rewarded patience. The editor is powerful, the Eastern Front setting is unmatched, and the community has produced some true classics. We want to make that craft easier to start and easier to finish. Whether you are building your first patrol over the Volga or the next great scripted campaign for your squadron, we want you to have a fast way to build it and an honest way to know it is ready.

Rating a mission is not about judging anybody. It is about catching the little problems before your squadron finds them on a Friday night. A mission that loads clean, runs smooth, and ends the way the builder intended is what keeps a server full and a community happy.
