Fox3 Mod Manager

Pick mods from our verified library and we install them on your DCS server: complete, correct, and removable with one click. No file transfers, no broken installs, no guesswork.

What it does

Community mods make DCS servers better, and break them more often than anything else: a half-copied folder, a missing dependency, or an install into the wrong directory can crash the server for everyone. The Fox3 Mod Manager solves that. Every mod in our library has been installed, verified, and test-run on our own reference server first. When you pick one, we stage it, install it into the correct location, restart DCS cleanly, and confirm the server came back healthy — automatically.

What's in the library

The catalog is organized into three groups, matching how DCS itself organizes mods:

  • Aircraft mods — flyable community aircraft (the A-4E-C Skyhawk, OV-10A Bronco, C-130 Hercules, and many more).
  • Services — server-side services that add capability, like automated ATIS.
  • Tech & assets — ground units, ships, weapons packs, statics, and scenery objects for mission builders (range targets, SAM site packs, era asset packs, and more).

The live catalog with sizes is shown in your server portal and on the DCS servers page. We keep adding mods our customers actually run; if the mod you want isn't listed, open a ticket and we'll look at onboarding it.

Two ways to get mods

  • Fox3 Mod Manager subscription ($8.99/month): unlimited — install, remove, and swap any mods from the whole library on your servers, whenever you like.
  • Buy one mod ($5.00 one-time): own a single mod outright and keep it forever — install, remove, and reinstall it on any of your servers, with no subscription. Card only.

Installing and removing

  1. Sign in to your server portal and open the Fox3 Mod Manager tab (or the Mods panel on any server card).
  2. Pick the mod and click Install. Removal is the same, in reverse.
  3. Click Apply with restartwhen you're ready — changes are applied in one clean DCS restart, so nobody flying is interrupted until you choose the moment.

Removed mods are set aside, not deleted, so an accidental removal is reversible. Installs are verified against the library's reference copy every time.

Storage

The subscription includes 5 GB of mod storage per customer, counted across all your servers. Large aircraft mods can be 1–4 GB each, so if you run several, add Additional Space — it stacks with the included 5 GB.

Good to know

  • Mods install per server. Players joining your server do NOT need the server-side asset packs installed to connect, but flyable aircraft mods must also be installed on the player's own DCS to fly them.
  • Some mods depend on another mod (a weapons pack for an aircraft, for example) — the catalog description tells you when that's the case.
  • All library mods are free community mods installed with their authors' published releases; you're paying for verified installation and management, not for the mod itself.
  • Dense (shared-host) plans don't support mod installs; upgrade to a dedicated-VM tier to use the Mod Manager.
