PilotRX: The Fighter Pilot Debrief, Now for Everyone

PilotRX: The Fighter Pilot Debrief, Now for Everyone

Every real fighter squadron knows the truth about getting better: the flying is only half the sortie. The other half happens in the debrief room, where the tapes come out, the egos stay at the door, and somebody walks you through what actually happened up there. Most DCS pilots never get that half. You land, you feel like it went well or it went badly, and then the details evaporate.

That changes soon. PilotRX is coming to fox3servers.com.

What PilotRX Does

Upload your DCS Tacview file (.acmi) and PilotRX turns it into a genuine debrief of your flying.

You get a Session Rating built on a grade card that scores you across seven categories: aggression, lethality, energy management, target fixation, situational awareness, self preservation, and sortie discipline. Alongside the grades come the numbers for each sortie: kills, hits, altitude discipline, and a timeline of every engagement you flew.

Then comes the part that feels like sitting across from an instructor. PilotRX writes a full narrative debrief of your session: what you did well, what nearly killed you, and exactly what to practice next time you fly. Not vague encouragement. Specific, pointed, useful critique of your actual decisions in your actual engagements.

The Numbers Are Real

Here is the part we care about most, because trust is everything in a debrief. Every grade and every statistic in PilotRX is computed deterministically from your track data. The math is the math. The AI never invents a number and never scores you on vibes. Its only job is to write the words, turning the measured facts of your flight into a clear instructor style narrative you can actually learn from.

PilotRX is an analysis aid, not a flight instructor certification. It will not make you a fighter pilot overnight. What it will do is show you the same flight from outside your own cockpit, with the patience to watch every second of it.

How This Started

This one came from you. A Fox3 customer discovered that you could feed a Tacview into an AI and get real critique of your flying, and he showed us what he was getting back. We thought it was too good an idea to leave as an experiment, so we built a real engine around it. We will call this score system the Haighster Rating after the Fox3 customer that brought this to my attention. (Thank you Andrew!)

During development we watched it catch something that convinced us this was worth shipping: a pilot with a known bad habit flew clean early in the night, then the habit crept back in as fatigue set in across sessions. PilotRX flagged the pattern, the pilot saw it, and he fixed it the same night. That is what a debrief is supposed to do.

DCS pilots do not fly casually. You fly to master the craft. PilotRX is a debrief instructor for everyone, whether you are learning your first gun solution or polishing your two circle flow.

First We Rated Your Missions. Now We Rate Your Flying.

If you have used MissionRX, you already know the idea: take something complicated, measure it honestly, and hand you a clear report you can act on. MissionRX grades the reliability of your missions. PilotRX grades the pilot. Together they cover both halves of a great session: a mission that runs clean, and flying that gets sharper every week.

Free to Try, More When You Want It

The stats and the seven category grade card are free. Upload a Tacview, get your numbers and your grades, no strings attached. The full instructor narrative, the complete written debrief of what happened and what to work on, is a paid feature. [PRICING]

When

PilotRX is coming to fox3servers.com. Keep an eye on this blog and the Fox3 Discord for updates.

Until then, keep those Tacview files. You are going to want something to upload.

Happy Flying!
